Years ago I ran across a booklet that I found quite beneficial to my prayer life. The idea is to provide easy access to “biblical” prayers. I suppose all (or most) prayers are biblical in a sense but sometimes it helps me to pray the same sorts of prayers that I read in scripture. This little book takes the approach of pulling prayers from scripture and providing a blank (as in, fill-in-the-blank) where you can insert the name of the person you're praying for.
In my edited version of the prayers I separated them into documents specific to men and women. I also changed the spelling of some words to UK-English to avoid the distraction of US-English spellings as a hat-tip to Aussie readers.
As you will note from the copyright notice below, the book was written more than 30 years ago and some of the wording may seem a bit out-dated. I noticed there are some minor doctrinal issues with some of the prayers which I've elected to pass over. Of course I’m open to any changes you think would improve the documents.
The prayers included here are from 1 Corinthians as this is what we're studying on Sunday mornings (at Rouse Hill Anglican).
